Come to the North Carolina High Country this fall to explore digital humanities work in Appalachia. We are planning a one-day event, with morning discussion sessions followed by hands-on afternoon workshops and play sessions.
- How can DH address social, cultural, and technological issues specific to the Appalachian region?
- What regional DH projects are underway, and what can we learn from their successes and their setbacks?
- What opportunities exist for outreach and partnerships between and amongst regional academic institutions, community groups, and local, regional, and national agencies?
- What specific issues of access, representation, etc. does DH work raise for Appalachian Studies?
